I have decided that I don't care about plateau's anymore, after having had a wow moment - and not a wow moment about me, it was about another person on the loser's bench.
I know a gal in the town near where I live (I live in a very rural area, haflway between Houston and Austin in Texas), who I knew had had wls (Lap RNY) July 2006. I hadn't seen her for 2 months (since a festival we both attended in town, and that's how I can be specific with the time frame). I was stunned by how different she looked - much smaller. She was, of course, delighted to hear me say this - she told me that she hadn't lost a lb, not a lb. in that period of time. HOWEVER, she had gone down two sizes, and felt she had been shrinking a lot. Her weight loss was 110 lbs. So the heck with plateaus! The body is working! The tool is working!! We just have to LET them work, do their job, and be patient! The results come, and my friend is living proof!

It is so weird. I was recently on a plateau that lasted a couple of weeks. The scale showed little weight loss - BUT during that same time there was a dramatic change in how my clothes fit - everything fit much looser. The scale was only part of the picture - the dramatic change was what I saw in the mirror.
