Unhappy Poor me - no new job

I just got a message on my cell (isn't that weird??) that they knew my limit and were offering 15K below that. Obviously, that won't work...sigh...

Well - it was a good experience to try and I'll be ten times more demanding than I would have been had I not seen the light of an awesome program.

Feeling pretty disappointed though. They weren't even close!!

I've always believed that the man up above has a plan for our destiny. And whatever stepping stones in our lives are meant to be. Looks like your prospective job just wasn't meant to be one of those stepping stones

Once in awhile I try to figure out why I'm still working where I am. I work with special education kids in our local high school...for almost 22 years now. Same place! But I figure God wants me there. I'm handicapped as well as hearing-impaired. (and FAT!) Most of my kids can't talk, some are blind and all are in wheelchairs with the exception of 3. All are dependent upon others for feeding (3 g-tubes) diapering and general care. I love working with them and making them smile. They make me smile too. They could care less what my hands look like or the fact I wear leg braces or can't hear very well. Yes, that's His plan for me.

(sorry to ramble....)

Blessings,
Teri

{{{{Gina}}}}} I'm so sorry! I know how much you wanted this. Something better will come your way. I am sure of it. Just be patient.

Gina,
That just was not the job. I am sure other opportunities will come. It seems when people start interviewing more interviews follow. I guess it is some type of grapevine communications system. It will work out.

I'm so sorry they wouldn't come up with the figure you needed to make the move. It's their loss honey. Let's see what comes up next. In the meantime, you will have great ideas for your exisiting program.

Ahh Gina, I'm sorry.
This just wasn't the time. Maybe you were meant to be where you are for awhile longer...to whip it into shape. I'm so happy you are not accepting less than what you're worth. Now that the whole subject of a change has come up, perhaps the universe will bring something that is even a better fit your way. I wish only the best for you.

Soooo sorry, Gina!
I cannot imagine what they are thinking to (knowingly) offer you so much less to do so much more. I bet it's hard not to personalize it, but don't. They are the losers here, and like all the wise ones before me, something better will come of this, I'm sure.

Default Sorry to hear about your job

Sorry you didn't get the job!! I made a huge mistake a few years back and took a job with a paycut...Now, I am going back where I left and got a really good raise...Things do seem to happen for a reason, had I not left for the other job, I wouldn't have had the insurance coverage for the surgery...Thank God for that!!! It sounds like you have a great vision for your students. God must want you to see that through!!!

Gina, God is preparing you for something different. That's all I can say. There are reasons we are shaped for things. This is just a stepping stone to what you ARE supposed to be doing. We may not ever know why it happened, but dear, it was for a reason. So take comfort in that and know you are right where you are supposed to be at this time.
