Jen,

The Zoo sounds good. and August 11th would be great.

How many others could make this date and is the location OK?

May be they have a indoor meeting place we all could call home base for the day.

I included a couple links.. one is for the sterling renaissance Faire.. and one for the zoo. Not sure what we are going to want to "do".. since sitting around talking to people is probably the main event! So, I also included a couple for parks in the area.. Chittenango Falls is a GREAT place for a picnic/talking session.. its in one of the most beautiful areas of central NY (In my opinion anyway)..

Any place is fine, but lets forget places that require a lot of walking. Please?

Jen

I use to live in Chittenango when I was a child. I think the park would be great. You see I will go for anything. As for walking to much I am sure we will be able to park close to a pavilion if we reserve one. Sounds great and then we can show off our BBQ skills. Maybe a couple board games or some type of cards..

Lets go Lets Go

I think I am pushing a little, tell me to back off if it is too much. I just know how summer week-ends fill up in our schedules...

JenBear, those are all good ideas for meeting places except for Upper Onondaga Park. Sure, it looks nice, but it smells like rancid ass and armpits in the summertime, no exaggeration. Onondaga Lake is a Superfund site, and every summer the water heats up the sewage and toxic waste enough to create the most gag-inducing stench you can imagine. It's bad enough driving by the lake on 690 that I have to hold my breath as I pass by. I can't imagine getting up close to it like that!

Ok all - 8/11 is on my calendar, but someone make a decision as to where to meet as I will have to start driving Friday after work to stay overnight nearby...
