OK already lets do this thing.
During the week or week end.
What hotel or do you have other suggestions.
How about availability from everyone?
Lets rock and roll

I can be flexible weekends or weekdays. I'll have family in town at some point in July, not sure when, but that didn't work for you anyway, right Dave? I'll be busy at work around Aug 13-24.
What is midpoint-ish from the folks who are the furthest out? I'm in Rochester too, 3 miles from the thruway, will travel.

That would be cool! No, I dont go to any support groups, I have no way of getting there.
I dont know anymore I'm very depressed, health is getting worse on a daily basis, or so it seems, I cant even walk to a bus stop anymore. I cant even get to the city to see my doctor...I'm really ready to just give up.
I have no money, no friends, no family I just sit here whats the sense.
i just cant do this anymore

Hmm.. near as I can tell.. you have no choice but to find a way to the city to see the doc... I'm going to talk to a friend of mine tonite. We have a support group meeting June 11th in the 'cuse.. but the schedule for wilson is there. If we decide to hit them both up... at least for a month or so.. would you like to go? hell.. its at a hospital.. one of us would even push you if you cant walk!

OK lets look at options
A Day trip or overnight
The week-ends are fine with me as well
A day trip would not be as costly and those that wanted to stay overnight could.
We could use a public place to meet,
Zoo, Gardens, a Park, any other Ideas.
Here are some potential Dates
6-16,17
6-23,24
7-14,15
7-21,22
8-4,5
8-11,12
May be someone could do a cleaver post to get more NYr's thinking about this get together....

I read your post and honey I know where you are at with not being able to get around being so weak. Please don't give up... I know it's a tough time for you right now. PM me anytime if you want to talk I've walked the dark dark halls of pain and suffering from GBS. Hang in and eating as much as you can will help the weakness.. plus vitamins. I was so weak I was bedridden for nearly three weeks, and I wanted to die. I am feeling so much better three weeks down the road and have gained 20 lbs. So miracles do happen. Janie

Hey Bingo.. My friend RoseAnn and I decided we would go to the support group in bingo just to see what shakes there.. and being a month out from surgery (ok ok... 37 days).. I canuse all the support I can get. Will let you know when it is ok? Then you can decide whether or not you are interested in going.
Whit you are closest to Dave in NY... hes in Rochester. Im about hmmm.. I think 1.5 hours beyond Rochester..
I still think Syracuse is a good halfway point. With Whit in Buffalo, and GIna near Albany... The zoo idea sounded good Dave! I love Bears! LOL. I will be out of work from July 9th until August... hmm.. 11th? or something like that. Anytime after the first couple weeks of surgery is good with me... I could ask the girls in my support group what else goes on in the area.. They live around there and would know.
