Default Vegas, Baby, VEGAS!!!

Okay Zen - I totally blame you...you, you, you instigator! (and wonderific human being, might I add )

Ever since you said you were going to Vegas, I just couldn't keep it inside anymore. I HAVE TO GO BACK! So I booked a spa suite at the Luxor (WHEW - pretty much the only thing available!) to go Memorial Day weekend.

Who's with me? Anyone? Anyone?

Besides inviting the general crew for some rowdiness in Sin City, here's my question for my fellow Vegas-aholics: now that I'm at a reasonable weight, I really want to do something sporty and active during the day, away from the Strip (or on the Strip - car dodging, anyone?).

Does anyone have any suggestions? What sporty thing can I do in the desert that doesn't involve the sportsbook? hehe

Wow...sounds like so much fun!!!

Red rock canyon is nearby and they have some nice trails if you like hiking. Heck just walking from one end of the strip to the other is a good hike too. They have an indoor parachute place where you put on aspecial suit and you go on top of this huge fan and it blows you up like you are parachuting...it's super duper cool!!! Mt. Charleston is a short drive and they too have hiking trails. Hoover Dam....not too far either. You will have a blast.. The spa is my fav place!

Amanda -

Your as bad as my wife! She loves to go and play the slots - and she ALWAYS wins. If there is a chance to go, we go!

You are braver than me! There is no way I would go out during a holiday weekend, especially this one - unless I fly.

Be careful driving out there, the 15 fwy is still being worked on in Barstow, and I believe near stateline. If you can get out early Friday morning or even better, thursday nite, you'll do okay. When you go by Rancho Cucamonga, give me a wave!

Hmmmm. Having a bodacious idea. A weight loss surgery "summit" / "meet" / "what happens in vegas, stays in vegas" weekend with fellow peeps.

Maybe, just maybe, if someone was going up there in the next few weeks
could find out from some of the hotels about rock bottom special rates with coupons, free food, and free roller coaster rides for a group of crazy, fun loving former fat people ready willing and able to take over their casino!

Have it maybe, late July or August? Gives us plenty of time to save up!

ROFLMAO!!!! Go horseback riding!! A late ride with a steak dinner at the end of it! WAY FUN! They take you on a two hour ride through Red Rock Canyon and it's just FLAT out georgous!!

You could also do Tony and Tina's wedding, or a Murder Mystery Dinner theater. Love both of those. (funny, all involves food....ROFL!!)

Gosh..active and sporty...MOUNTAIN CLIMBING! Treck the Canyon....heck..tons of stuff to do, it's narrowing it down that's a problem!!

I'm itchin' to go too!! July can't come soon enough!!
