You're absolutely right, Gina. One hook might be how we have all come together as a family, world wide. We have different surgeons, instructions, protocols, complications and experiences, but our common thread is our community. I absolutely agree that the website doesn't get put out there. Maybe Dr. Callery could come on to talk about how the forum came to be, and how much more successful his patients are for having the forum. Maybe some other gbs practice would like to set one up.

It's a hook how someone in San Diego can reassure another person in Canada and influence someone else in England, while giving someone in Ohio, New York, and North Dakota support. The sub-hook is the panty exchange!

Default So here it is

Oprah: "Up Next, how a group of people who live as far apart as New York and California, Alberta Canada and the UK, have helped eachother lose over 100 pounds per person - and they've never even met eachother - until today that is." That would get my attention.

Gina: Agree with you 100% on the hook idea, and that is ONE FANTASTIC HOOK you wrote!! (Wanna come out and work in Hollywood with me? ) Would you mind if I used that as a cover page for this package? I'll credit you, of course!

Duckie - WHEE! Can't wait to read your stuff

I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it! (ughhhhh, how cheesy!!)

I've been told I can write well, would you like me to write something? What sort of thing should I write about? Let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

If you can get Oprah to fly me to CA, you certainly don't need to give me any credit.

What I'm looking forward to is letting the cat out of the bag on national TV. Oh wait a minute, I think this is a classic case of counting your chickens...

I have a very dear frient who is a screen writer out your way - I wouldn't touch that life with a 10 foot pole - I don't have the stomach for it. My hat is off to you!

Gina - sometimes I'm not sure how I do it! I must be nuts...but then again, to WANT to be in entertainment, I think we all must be a bit insane to begin with Although, don't think that I haven't already been trying to see if I have some kind of six degrees of separation to a higher-up producer on Oprah to try and get this done...

Donna - I would be THRILLED if you wrote something! I posted the story guidelines from Oprah on the first page of this thread, but let me know if you'd like me to send them to you.

Gina;

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! With you, Amanda and Donna, I think we have the
"DREAM TEAM" to pull this all together, and get her attention!

By the way, I thought Oprah's show was in Chicago?

Even though I've not had my surgery yet, can I join in?

Default Sent Amanda mine

Sorry, realized I didn't actually post here. I PM'd her for how she wanted it... and already sent Amanda my story and pics over e-mail. I had it written out for the GB book I've been working on (received 11 rejections so far, still haven't given up).

I think all this is a grand idea.
