I have become a gym fanatic.... You would have never gotten me in a gym before. But I went to the seminar and saw a guy who had the WLS a few months before appearing there and he looked like he worked out all his life. So I followed his advice... Now you can't keep me out. So that would be one thing that I've done for myself. However, my ultimate gift to myself will be a large shopping spree (once I save up the money) when I reach my goal weight.

Exclamation about the leg pain

I also find myself wearing more make up, before I didn't care to put make up on unless I was going somewhere fancy or what not now I have to have at least eyeliner, mascara and gloss even if I'm just walking across the street lol.
Hi Jess, I am no doctor but watch the leg pain... don't want to alarm you but it could be a embolism (blood clot). It also could be nueropathy. I have neuropathy in my left upper thigh.... talk about pain OMG it is bad stuff. anyway just thought you may want to get it checked. better safe than sorry.

well I just had my second dental surgery in a month, I have talked with my maxifilacial doctor and he is submitting to insurance for teeth implants! as I no longer have chewing teeth on the right lower side of the jaw and only one tooth to chew with on the lower left.. thanks god I still have all my upper teeth, nope i'm not a gummy bear lol so I will be getting implants. of course i would rather have boob im plants but one thing at a time i guess.

Yikes, I'm sorry about the pain on your left upper thigh. Trust me, right now I sympathize with anyone going through ANY type of pain!

I've had this pain for like a week(maybe more, didn't write it down when it started) and I went to my PCP to, well, complain lol. He didn't mention anything about neuropathy(maybe he didn't think about it, but personally I think it could be an option but then again, I'm not a doctor and I do not play one on TV either) He ordered an ultrasound or something for the legs, and an ultrasound of my liver, kidneys and pancreas(don't know what THEY have to do with my legs hurting...). I got bloodwork done which came back with low iron and potassium. I guess the potassium explains the tachycardia, muscle spasms/knots/cramps and occasional chest pains but I never experienced the hypersensitivity and numbness before. What are your symptoms(neuropathy)? I'm just curious to know.

the low potassium would explain leg pain for sure. my neuropathy is a burnning like fire pain that travels along the path of the nerve, sometimes it bburns so bad and when I go to rub it, it's like numb to touch very strange I know. When I first had the wls the pain in my leg was so bad that sometimes when I would be asleep the leg would go straight up on it's own ad the pain was so sever I couldn't bring my leg down, many times calling the nurse into my room cause I couldn't control my leg and the pain. I take amatriptalene (*spelling) for it and if I miss a day or two of my meds my pain is terrirble. I asked the surgeon how this happend and he told me that sometimes while in surgery the way they position a person causes issues with the nerve and nerve endings and I was just one of the lucky ones who has issues. Anyway hope your pain is better. I wonder if they did a pannel of your liver, kidneys and pancrease to see how your protien is being absorbed... (oh crap there I go again trying to be a doctor )

One thing I have noticed about myself as that I realized how to say "no"! I used to be such a push over and would agree to just about anything but now with the weight loss I have gained more confidence..I am also getting out of a very toxic relationship that I have been wanting to get out of for some time now, realizing you no longer need someone to make you happy and that you can make yourself happy is a very powerful thing
