Default Dating in the twilight zone...
I know many people on here are married but I wanted to throw this out for duscussion of those who are single....

I have noticed dating post op is like dating in the twilight zone. Pre op I worried about how I look. Now I worry about how they look. I used to worry if they would think I was pretty, smart, funny etc. Now I worry about if they are attractive smart and funny.

I have also concluded...I don't want to date right now and thats okay. Pre op I would have jumped at the chance to go out and date. now I see my time as too valuable to waste on less than the ideal person. Oh is it a sign of a bad date when you start checking out other guys while on the date?

I haven't bothered dating yet; I just don't want to until I am further along. I also find it interesting that I am a lot more critical of myself now. I am happy that I am losing weight, of course; but I am more critical of my body now. I guess going from ignoring my weight to now paying attention to it every day is difficult.
I personally believe that waiting, when it comes to dating, can be a very good option.

I dated a few times. Nothing serious. a lot of fun though! I was cycling 4 at a time for awhil. Now, i'm happy with being by myself and hanging out with friends. It's all good, no matter what!

I had to kiss a lot of frogs till I found my Prince. I also went out on dates and thought this isn't the guy for me, and would check out other guys while I was on a date. You will know when you find the right guy!
