OT: Anyone work for unemplyment office?!
I have been calling since Monday, everyday at every possible time and I ALWAYS get the same message, "due to thigh volume of callers already waiting to speak to a representative you will have to call back." WTF?! I mean, I can understand hearing a ciuple to few times, but like 25????!!! No lie, Im not exaterrating.
Anybody have any idea how I can find out the status of my claim, no check has been cut.. I have been unemployed since 2/28/07, I had my interview on 3/15/07. Nothing in the mail, nor can I get in touch with anyone.
Thanks for listening to my rant, and if anyone has a solution, I'll buy ya lunch! (Salads at Mc D's Im unemployed ya know )

Bridget when I had my baby it was hell trying to get through. I learned the trick time to call too. What time do they open? Is it 8? I use to call one minute after they were suppose to open. I would be on hold for a few minutes but it wouldn't give me that retarded message and hang up on me. I would be on hold at least 10-18 minutes. Good luck

Try going on line. You might be able to do it that way.

at&t is hiring
I don't know what kind of job you are looking for...but at&t is hiring...it's better than nothing...you can look on www.att.jobs ...if they asked you who referred you...go ahead and send me a private message so I can give you the info. I have been working for at&t for 10 years...it doesn't get any better than this!!

that so stinks...same situation here...well kinda, okay not really lol. I applied at the state to be a income maintance manager. You don't call them, the send you a letter saying they have an availability and to schedule an interview. I was holding my breath for a couple weeks but now I get letters almost every day to set up an interview time. I just actually need to get hired now. Could you go down there and apply in person. In the 80's my mother tells of showing up at the unemployment office everyday at 7 am to stand in line and the receptionist was a 13itch.
