That is great news. You can get plenty of exercise there and have lots of fun. Hopefully soon we will get a chance to meet. Are you ready for the heat?

It'll be hot.. but they have the sidewalk misters.. its not too bad if there is even a hint of a breeze.. long as you are in the misters. but man.. your feet get HOT HOT HOT! We were there in July once.. (I MISS Vegas.. used to go a couple times a month!)..

Have a blast! Its a fun town!

Default Oooh

Dangit Zen!

I may just have to see if I can figure out a way to get down there to see you. It's a little bit of a drive for me, but I have been trying to think of what to do for vacation this year. Vegas is cooooooool! (Yeah, Baby!)

I would just have to blow a gasket to be able to see you. Let me do some snooping with my schedule and see if that might work....

Default Just got back

Hey Zen;

I took the family for an extended weekend (left Friday, got back Sunday eve) to Vegas - just had to get away for awhile. We were able to score tickets for Spamalot at the Wynn resort (show was incredibly fantastic, but the casino is way overrated).

We like New York, New York, Cesar's Palace and Paris. The days will be incredibly hot, and the nights hot but tollerable. It's really fun playing blackjack and enjoying a drink while IN the pool. Also, The Blue Man Group is awesome (saw them a few years ago), Celine Dion is overpriced, Penn and Teller at the Rio is supposed to be really good. We've also seen Steve Wyrick (magician who likes to make big things like cars and motorcycles dissapear) he was fun, and we saw Lance Burton a while back, who was fantastic.

Keep your eye out and you may see Criss Angel (Mindfreak), I understand he's living at the Aladdin -soon to be Planet Hollywood-.

We've been to the Hilton and although the Star Trek Adventure is fun, it's way overpriced at $44 per person. Granted it's an all day ticket, but if your not staying at the hotel, it's not worth it, you may be able to get discounts through work or something.

You will have a GREAT time - we always do!

I almost forgot - the monorail is now in operation and can get you around the resorts much easier and faster than trying to drive the strip.

Patrick - we must talk Vegas - I agree with you on most of your points

OOOOOOOOOOH VEGAS BABY!!! My boyfriend and I are serious vegas freaks

We LOVE the Rio - but just for the casino and Penn & Teller - fantastic show! I put together my "best" list for you - but bear in mind it's just my opinion!!

Best Casinos: Luxor, MGM, NYNY, Caesar's
Best Places to stay: Mandalay Bay, Luxor, NYNY (MAKE SURE you get the spa suite! )
Best Shows: Penn & Teller, The Amazing Jonathan (REALLY raunchy - be warned!), Zumanity, and *ahem* a topless revue that I won't mention unless you really want to know!!! hehe
Best Restaurants: Buzio's @ Rio (Seafood), Gallagher's @ NYNY (STEAK!), Picasso @ Bellagio, Valentinos @ Venetian
Best Shopping: Venetian - Grand Canal Shoppes, Bellagio Shops, Caesar's Forum Shops
Most Fun Attractions: Shark Reef @ Mandalay Bay, Star Trek @ the Hilton, Secret Garden @ the Mirage

Plus - don't forget to ride the roller coaster at NYNY
