God bless her self confidence, if that's what it is. You know that everyone around her has got to be gawking, staring, laughing, pointing...she either doesnt notice or doesnt care. I wish I could have been that confident/obtuse.

Well given the fact that she looks up there in years, she probably isn't wearing her glasses or hearing aide, being at the beach and all. So she probably can't see them or hear them 
I am with you though... it would be nice to have that much confidence.
