Christmas Shopping in NYC.. - ThinnerTimes

Ok.. figured I would start a thread here for a shopping trip to NYC around Christmas time. Probably sometime between the middle of November and the Middle of December. That way the tree is in Rockefeller Square.. and it will feel like Christmas!

If I can get an idea of how many people are interested, I will start to investigate hotels.. see if I can get one to give us a group discount.

Or, if someone has an "in" with any of the major hotel chains.. maybe we can do that.

I am willing to share a room.. I know we went to vegas once as a group, and we did 4 people to a room... (it was cozy!). (and Carrie is stuck in my room lol.. )...

We can do some Christmas shopping.. and maybe take in a show.. or go to a club.. or whatever.. suggestions, requests welcome!

I think the weekend after Thanksgiving would be good...cuz Dec. is crazy with Holiday parties, kids programs, shopping, etc. I am totally willing to share a room...maybe I can talk my chicken nugget into going and her and I can share and room. Hmmmm...I will have to work on that.

to go! I have a cousin who has been in the travel business since 85 if you want me to get info from her...or PM and I will give her number. It is so beautiful there in Nov/Dec.

I'm in for this one too! I was supposed to go to NYC this weekend, but it doesn't look like I'm gonna make it. Let me know the who's what's and so forths. And I would also be happy to share a room.

i will definitely let ya all know, this is what im thinking but havent discussed with anyone yet (not even my hubby..lol)

i plan to fly to Jenbears house December 12th (wednesday) then thought we could go to NYC friday to sunday or monday whichever would be best for everyone, then i would fly home from her house on the 18th tuesday. (Jen writing this out for you, i havent discussed dates with you yet, so this would be them, what ya think?)

That weekend is too close to Christmas for me...with all the Holiday parties, kids programs, finishing up shopping, plus my son's b-day is the 11th...but don't change the dates just for me, have fun!!!

Im thinkin... "I get Carrie for a week..> I get Carrie for a week LOL.. I swear that is what is going through my head!"... And I am good with any times.. I may have to figure out work.. what with me missing a month this year.. but maybe I can call in sick lol.. In any case.. work is only 3 minutes from home .. maybe I can sneak back and forth LOL.. Minor details... walks off humming.. "I get Carrie for a week"...

We better catch up on our sleep NOW cuz.. I have a feeling.. we're going to not get much that week!

I really am good anytime.. so whatever works for the masses works for me... maybe we can meet in the middle? the weekend of Dec 7th is in the middle of your suggestion, and Carries...
