Psych Consult Referral - ThinnerTimes - Gastric Bypass Forum, Lap Band Forum, and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Forum

I'm a patient of Dr. Callery and need to have my psych consult done and am looking for a referral. I met with a psychiatrist a few weeks ago. She definitely had some biases re: WLS. I should've left when she said, "Two of my patients had WLS and neither asked my opinion about it. I'm pretty ticked about that." That was in the first 5 minutes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My therapist is the one that has me looking into the surgery as an option. I was dead set against it but now I'm probably going through with it. She didn't force me to do it but just asked me to look at ALL of my options. Anyhow contact Dr. Megan Lewis at 760-781-3963. I go to her Escondido office but I know she works out of another office but I am not sure quite where it is at. I know it is in Southern or East county.

Wow! I'm blown away by some of the things I've readd that therapists say to people. Sorry you had to deal with that. Mine was great. He just had me drop off the ppwk and he sent it to my surgeon the same day. Good luck in finding someone to support you!
