Default Laposcopic Revision

Today I went to the mailbox and my doctor's statement for work was there. The first time I had surgery I had a open with staples. I later had PS remove the scar. I was nervous that they wanted to do another other and would have to have the scar removed again. Well the doctor's indicates that it will be done laposcopic and I can't believe what I am reading. I feel better having the revision. My surgery has also be changed to March 11, 2009. I am counting down the days.

Now when you say revision do you mean you are having you stomach put back to normal. And if that is the it, is it because you have had some problems. I don't mean to be nosey just wondering if you have had complications. Thanks Delane

No, I am having a conversion from RNY to the Sleeve. I have a fistula and have gained most of my weight back. If you read revisions we talked about in those posts.

Try and read your post from the perspective of someone who has not read any other posts having to do with you or this forum for that matter, it's quite confusing.

First I see that you had the Lap and that is completely different operation so it would be difficult to understand what I am talking about.

What you're talking about is not difficult to understand. Like I said, read your topic starter from the pov of someone that doesn't know anything about you.

I wrote about this in revisions. I did not have complications. I was gaining weight. So my doctor suggested that I have a MRI and Endoscope. They found that I had a fistula and my staple line had opened. Now food enters into my bypass and old stomach. A fistula is a abnormal connection. In order to correct the problem a revision to a different kind of surgery will be done. I already have a bypass so they will be converting it to the sleeve/DS. They will be removing 80% of my stomach to achieve the goal. Is this the information you are requesting.
