Default had my revision today

Well guys i had my revision today and i feel like shit. I had to perf ulcers where i was connected. So then about a month ago i was able to keep anything down. So they went in and removed the bottom part of my pouch and then he took some intestines and made me a new pouch(so to speak_

Just wanted to let you guys know that's for all your support.

Kasey

Kasey,

Thanks for giving us all an update. Hope you'll be feeling better soon. Keep us posted on how your new pouch is treating you.

Take care (and take those pains meds too!)

Wow! 1-1/2 years or so out from your original surgery and still having complications? What do you think caused the ulcers? I keep thinking that at 7 months out, I am "home free" now. But apparently not so!

And I see you are UNDERweight, too! I'll bet you never thought that would happen! What are you doing to "fix" that? Do you just eat higher caloried stuff or more of it, or what? Now that you have a new pouch, you might lose even more weight! Will you be able to eat with it? Or do you have to start over again?

Gosh! It is beginning to look like it just never ends, huh? I try to be conscious of what I'm eating all the time. (the fat-me ate unconsciously) But I really want to know what could cause ulcers in my pouch. I hope it's not coffee.

Take care of yourself. Let someone wait on you for awhile. (ha-ha, easier said than done)

Love you,

Rose

Not everyone has complications but i have had a few. I had a perf in feb and they had to go in and close it. Well where the ulcers were the blood vessels started to die , so they started to swell. Then the swoll completly shut so i had to have the bad part taken out and replaced with a new healthy piece of my intestines. If i had the choice of doing my bapass again i would. I have no regrets about that.

Kasey I am glad to hear you are doing well after your revision and hopefully no more problems will pop up. I think it is awesome that you have such an upbeat attitude about all of the issues. That is half the battle right there.
