Default bypass re-done

Has anyone had to have the bypass re-done because it failed the 1st time. I had the op 14th July and am able to eat anything and large amounts, the dietician feels it has failed also and thinks I may have to repeat the op.

Your surgeon is the only one who can reliably decide that, and I imagine tests of various kinds need to be done. How disappointing for you. I wish you the best.

Wow that's the first time I've heard of the bypass completely failing like that! I hope you find some answers.

I am with Deb on this one, I think I was the same for fear of complications when I live 2 hours away, Yet I have had many issues anyways.

Default OP redone

I am having the same problem. I can eat large amt, and just about anything. I am having surgery to remove hernias and going to ask him to tighten up the pouch a little bit.

89 is far back. Why is it considered a failure..b/c you gained weight back over the years? No offense, I'd say the person slacked off if they regained their weight back.

Now, if you just had surgery and never lost any weight, then I'd say the surgery failed. JMHO
