I am revising to RNY and already had my lap band removed but have to jump through the same hoops I did previously to get my lap band. Good luck to you Nancy.

No additional hoops for me because all of the tests I took previously were still good. I only had a few more nutrition classes that focused on RNY eating as in before, it was focused on BAND eating.

Nearly 16 TEN pound bowling balls down... OMG, let me pinch myself!

I don't want to know how much I have left to lose -- I find it encouraging to see how far I've come!

Hi! I know this thread is a few months old. I’m just wondering if there is anyone else here since then that has been revised from band to rny?
I’m starting the process to have this done for me. This surgery was completely all wrong, and in some cases left me worse than when I started. I never used to be addicted to sweet sugar but I am now due to trying to eat around a tight band.
I’ve only lost 30 Lbs on lap band which I need to lose 100 more, have severe pain, night coughs and scratchy voice and was banded almost 20 months ago. Time to move on to what I really should have done to begin with if I weren’t too chicken! lol
Is there anyone who already posted on here who can give an update on how you're doing? I sure do plan to do alot more research this time around!

Irene, look for Lana. She recently had her band removed and had RNY. And you might want to look for Josephine. She just had her band removed and got the sleeve.
