Laura, glad it's working out for you! Hope you continue to heal and feel better already.

Jeanie, omg hurry up already! Someone send her some of this north county water. Seems to be doing the trick up here!

Sorry didn't happen in Jan, so now we won't try again till mid this year. I know it's crazy but I only want a baby in certain months, and Nov & Dec aren't one of them!

I loved having a Dec. baby!! I had Gestational Diabetes, so my Dr. took me out of work mid Oct., my due date was Dec. 20th and he induced me on Dec. 10th...I didn't go back to work until Feb... so I was out of work through ALL the holidays!!

Silly lady I just don't want a b-day for my baby that time of the year. We have 2 in Nov & 3 in Dec already. Plus 3 in Sept & 3 in Aug. So I'm hoping for Feb-May or Oct......lol I know it will happen when it happens. A girl can want though.

Default I will end up pregnant?

Last night I started reading the forum for the first time in a month and a half.

I really couldn't understand what was going on. After reading a long thread on the negetive side of WLS I started coming across references to people misrepresenting themselves and all kind of people taking about babies. I felt like the hour I spent reading the thread was a waist. How much can I believe? I was quite upset...and I am a person that does not get upset easily.

Can someone sum up in one or two paragraphs what is going on here. What information that is pertinant to WLS (I don't care about your other crap) seems to be untrue. Am I basing my decision on somebody's personal fiction?

Default I'll give it a try

This thread was started by a woman name suzy. She was a memeber of the board and interacted personally with other members who lived close by.

Somethign happened between herself and hte local woman she interacted with regarding medication & stealing.

Suzy left the board for a short time(before) writting this post and then came back on the board with a different screen name of "janie" and proceed to post under that false name. She intentionally misled people about who she really was because she felt she still needed support and wouldn't get it if she was "suzy" given the preceding events.

This thread was started while she was Janie and it's about why she had to have her surgery reversed.

All the other crap and in-fighting and garbage on this thread is just that...garbage. There are at least two other threads where a group of posters discuss at length the wrong that Suzy did and details. How it got moved to a thread of support/information for those who have had RNY go drastically wrong for themselves is unknown to me.

There are some very basic thigns that can go wrong with this surgery and some very rare things.... I hope you can move past the garbage posts from all sides and hear just the info about the reversal.

If you yourself are reading thsi because you are having problems please do not hesitate to ask questions... I still check this thread frequently...

Hi Kenneth -

Paige did a pretty good summation for you, and did so without re-opening the can of worms which really IS crap (thanks, sweetie!). I would also like to add that sometimes a thread is started by someone, and there is never any follow through from them. Other posters come on, comments are made, and the post sort of takes on a life of its own - like a conversation.

Read the posts you need to glean information from. Partake in the conversations if you wish, and don't partake if you are offended or think it is crap. Ask questions. Thats why the posts are here.

Hi Kenneth,
Welcome to Thinnertimes forum. I am sorry your first experience was so fragmented. The reality is that this a peer forum and often times it takes a life of its own. Just like anything else in life, consider the source, take what you need and vary all your sources anytime you gather info on any subject.

If you continue reading, you will soon find the peers whom you know to trust advice and those who are here for socializing and those who have their own agenda...just like a family we have a diverse group and based on your needs and desires you can chose who you hang with....we are glad you are here and look forward to your input
