Janie,
If you can make it on the disability maybe you should take advantage of it and let your body heal as much as it can. You have been through a terrible amount of pain and suffering - you deserve to take any break that you can possibly get.

Hey thanks I have considered it.. Jury is still out if I can get through it I will because disability only pays me 1/4 of what I usually make, and jobs in my field are not open right now.. so trying to find another would be very difficult.
I really have an easy easy job.. so in the next week or so I will figure it out. Janie

Default Decision made

I am going back on disability... I'm still struggling with energy and pain. I am better than before reversal, however I'm just not all healed up. I can't take all the hours, I'm too tired and can't continue napping at work. Janie

Default Good for You!

I think you made a wise decision, and it's refreshing to see you taking care of your health first and foremost. It seems like such a simple thing to do, yet we are so quick to leave ourselves in the dust if anyone else needs something.

I hope you are able to heal quickly and return to a state of health and wellbeing.

Default thank you

Even though I know it's the right decision I'm still struggling with letting go of the job. I'm afraid of falling back into a depression while I'm home and that is hell in itself. Janie

Janie - having had my share of depression I can totally understand that fear. Sometimes it feels like a bottomless pit you can't get out of. Its not fun when have t to put yourself in a situation where you know it might lead to depression. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Default Update on work

I made the decision to go back on disability I mentioned a few days ago and I went in to my job today with my resignation letter. I resigned in lieu of the fact I won't work another 8 day stretch 80 hours and no day off. My boss got snippy with me and said I should have replaced you sooner (meaning while I was off for surgery) and that my co partner worked many 8 day stretches while I was out. I said well that's not true because I've been told otherwise by other mgrs. And the funny part is that I make them more money than my partner and he makes twice what I did. So I gave them letter of resignation and an hour later they terminated me. I really should make an example out of them and sue them for doing something really illegal. Funny thing about this on the way home I got a call from a friend asking me if I wanted to work 2-3 days a week and make a little extra cash. He said start on Nov 1, and take some time and get well. So I will get my disability and a little pocket cash on top. It is about time for some good things to roll my way..... and all at once, sometimes I think God must have a warped sense of humor! Janie
