Being the ex-resident guru on nutrition and vitamins for this forum here's note on Vitamins... If you can fine one you can tolerate, Liquid Vitamins are really the very best. Pill vitamins are about 60% fillers and parafin. Plus a non GB person is reccomended to take 8 oz of water with their vitamins for maxim potency this can be difficult for us. I and many other of us "old timers" take Global Health Trax you can still purchase them from online. If you do a thread search you should still be access to the contact information for them. I'm not sure what the price is now. I got my price locked in years ago.

Sometimes post-op our minds are in this constant rollercoaster in the fog. It's hard to remember everything and harder still to focus or prioritize. I think it might be wise for you to make a list of all of the goals you wish to reach, then prioritize in order of what is going to keep you healthy and aid you in reaching those goals. Take your time and really think about it, then make copies and post them on your refrigorator and mirror. Every morning read them, make them your montra. "Today my number one goal is to win the battle over my low iron, and this is what I need to do to accoplish it..."

You certainly don't want to be a skinny corpse.

My Nutritionist recommended Bariatric Advantage, but I can't really afford those right now.
I didn't purchase the Calcium chews because they aren't calcium citrate.

Mel, Bariatric Advantage actually has a program to help people get vitamins who can't afford them. Go to their website and find their phone number and call them and ask about it. I think you have to have your doctor fill out a form or something.

In the meantime, look for Centrum vitamins at the drug store. They aren't very expensive. You need to take two a day. They aren't as good as the Bariatric Advantage, but they will do for now.
