Default PS Consult next week

Ok yall, I am so excited. I have a plastic surgery consult next week. I really don't know where to start, what to ask...any advice would be very much appreciated!

I am trying to move fast on this because my insurance is changing as of Jan 1st. The current insurance that I have will cover the tummy tuck. I don't have approval yet, but I did call the insurance company and it is something that they cover (given that the doctor uses the right "codes"). Anyway, since my insurance is changing in January, I want to try to get it done before it changes. Next year we are going to have huge deductibles and co-insurance and I doubt if I will be able to do it anytime soon at that point.

Anyway, if you guys have any advice, I would love to hear it.

Thanks!

not sure what you should ask- except check out the doctors stats - any lawsuits, medical mal practise, deaths...

was he recommended to you from a friend or did you find him by advertising or internet?

I too am interested in what you find out...

good luck

With the consult, they are going to see what they can do for you plastics wise.

I'd ask about the mons area, (perminate camel toe would suck) if they cut the fat or lipo too? before and after pics (most can't due to HIPPA).. They didn't talk in detail to me at the time of consult. That is where they took the pictures and talked of what they were going to do to me briefly, they wanted to make sure I had insurance approval. : )

Good luck!

Judy - any update? What did you end up asking? I'm thinking about doing a consult soon, and will be starting my list of questions.

Nothing really to update yet. I am still waiting to hear from the Dr's office if my insurance is going to cover. I just called today and they said it could be a few more weeks before we hear anything.

I had a dream last night that they called and said that I was covered 100%...wouldn't that be amazing! We will see!

I will keep yall updated when I hear anything.

Call your insurance company, you will hear approved sooner than the Doc's office.. Least that's what happened in my case. I was able to update the woman with my approval # and get the ball moving quicker.

Best of luck..
