I have BC/BS

With WLS surgery, it's like they've piggy backed a Tummy Tuck. I had to be down 100 lbs from my start and at least 6 months out.

As far as my Thighs, I had to get them deemed medically necessary. Between the cycsts I've been having very near my girl bits and the thigh pain, I think that was enough.

My plan says anything that is "deemed medically necessary" so, well.. yeah. I could have had a boob reduction, that would come with a lift, but at this time, my boobs are way too little for a reduction. So it's something I wouldn't even consider.

best wishes,

Well, I don't know if this is good or bad...well, it can't really be bad I guess...only No would be bad. Anyway, here's what's going on so far.

I got a call this morning from my plastic surgeon's office. They said they wanted to keep me in the loop of what is going on (very nice). Anyway, she said that they were contacted by my insurance company and that they want a letter from my surgeon about how this is surgery is "medically necessary" for me. Because I do not have any clinical evidence of rashes, back problems, etc from the excess skin, they required that my surgeon write this letter. She said that my surgeon wrote a very good letter and sent it to the insurance company today. So, that's where I stand right now. She said that it could be another week or 2 before we hear back from the insurance if my surgery will be approved or denied. So, we will see. If I don't hear back from them in a week, I will call the insurance company directly and see if they can give me a status update.

I will, of course, keep you all updated as well.

Thanks!
