Hi Xgordita! I am also a patient of Dr Gregory Barnes! I had my RNY Bypass Sept 12, 2007 @ Baylor Southwest. I lived in Ft Worth at the time and since surgery have moved to Missouri. So cool to find you!

BTW....My ins approved a tummy tuck for me having it on 11/10! I am also paying for a breast lift. Not doing implants my PC tells me I will still me a nice D cup. I am SOOOOO EXCITED! I have been over weight my entire life and looking forward to having my "scarlet letter" cut off. Been carry this around to long!

Talking I did it!!!

I am home! Hey Ladies...I had my tummy tuck and breast lift on Tuesday. I am sore but doing good with the pain meds. My surgery was about 4 hours long and my PS took off 10 lbs of skin/flab!!! AMAZING!
My INS paid for the panniculectomy due to my low back issues. My PS did do a full tummy tuck and tighten my muscles and did not charge me. He said he was already in there why not do it all. Plus I was paying for the breast lift. The total cost of the lift was 3300 for PC and 1300 for hospital and an extra 600-800 for the antistatic (sp).
Over all only 2 days post opp I am THRLLED! I can't believe how perky my girls are! LOL They are nice and round very full D with out inplants. My tummy and new belly button is cute also! I will post pics much later when the swelling goes down.
BTW...I am 2 years post opp from having my RNY. My RYN scares are now gone from the tuck.

Default Breast Feeding after Implants

I used to be a 40DD and now i'm a 36C sometimes B. My chest has sagged so much i get rashes under my breasts and it's very uncomfortable. I am thinking about having surgery to correct this next year (So i can save $ in the meantime) after i have finished losing and level off. If i have them lifted, i'm also going to have a small implant put in because my self esteem went down drasticly along with my cup size. From the research i've been doing, surgeons will often use an implant to help fill out your chest when having a lift.

I'm also concerned about potential future breast feeding. I haven't had kids yet, and want to but not for a few years. I know after having kids, I probably won't be able to afford (Or undergo for that matter) a serious surgery, so i want to get all of my corrective surgeries done before (I'm also going to need the skin on my arms removed, and a tummy tuck/body lift, to fixe other problems with skin flaps and rashes). Has anyone here had a breast surgery and was able to breast feed? I've found some sites online, but i was hoping an actual person could tell me about their experiences. I've read if you have it done in a particular way there's less problems.

Also, how much did you pay for your surgery? or if your researching it, what kinds of prices have you seen?

Any info or sharing on this subject would be appreciated!
I had implants in 2001 and had my first child in 2007. I was able to breast feed just fine. I had my WLS surgery in 2009 and I have not noticed many changes in my breasts thus far. (granted I have only lost 60 lbs.)

My best friend had implants and then nursed both of ther children, so if you are blessed enough to have the milk production, implants are not supposed to interfere with your ability to breast feed.

Good Luck to you!
