Default Not too happy with recent PS.....

I had a complete lower body lift 4 years ago....a few extra years has left some extra skin I wanted a touch up on since new procedures have come on the market. Last September I had lipo with a new technique that was supposed to tighten skin as part of the healing process......I didn't want the nasty scars and the skin isn't horrendous enough to warrant the process of traditional skin removal.

Well, loose skin doesn't want to shrink....now, without the fat (I had 5% fat removed), the skin surrounding the lipo'd areas is LOOSER than before. My arms are flappier, and my thigh skin melts around my hips when I sit.

Well, a $6K lesson that you can't change your skin without surgically removing it. (I tried ALL the wraps and creams, diets and supplements, we just crapped our skin out when we are fat and stressing the body with the extra weight)

Marie jeez you look fine! Hey can't you call the doc that did your last proc and tell them it didn't work like they said it would? maybe they can offer you some kind of advice.

He died last month...got cancer......his partner took a look and said there really isn't much more that can be done unless I want to go overboard....

nah, just more sad that I spent $6K to look the same as I did before and my clothes funny cuz the lipo changed my butt shape.....

Hi Marie, I'm glad to see you here. Because you were one of the members I was most impressed by when I found TT. You inspired mad respect in me for the way you handled some of the situations you posted about.

That IS an expensive hard lesson to learn. Ugh. It's damn hard to get to the place where PS is the final step in our transformation. But then to get it, and have it not meet your expectations? I can only guess how upset I'd be. Some day I hope to finish my transformation too, but I can't plan on it. Do you have the option to go back now and do the traditional skin removal process?

Therein is the choice of excessive vanity and living with the results of choices we have made many, many years ago.....I don't have a huge amount of loose skin....I had a nice TT done 4 years ago. Now, as my body changes with age, others things pop up. Skin removal leaves large scars, particularly noticeable on the legs and arms, bad enough scars that the surgeons say don't do it in my case. Unless I want to wear long sleeves and shorts forever! Or I could get more tattoos to cover up the scars.....I DO want more tattoos........

I think I'm now experiencing what the average women goes through when middle-aged (which is defined as 35-65 now). It's part of realizing I'm not a tight, 20 year old...and can never be again...I can be a very HOT approaching 40, cougar, MILF type......as long as I'm not in a string bikini...Learning to adapt to the environment, different choices in clothes....stashing away the size 2s that seemed so easy to slip into before....now, no shame in a size 4.....using cap or 3/4 sleeves....

Overall changes in life as we mature, re-invent ourselves (ok, hopefully not as extreme or as often as Madonna ) I went through my closet and tried on outfits from 2 years ago....some things no longer seem "right" though they fit. Some of the skimpier stuff just doesn't look good anymore...yet, I was smashing hot in them...now, looks desperate....

It was a disappointment more when I got tailored pant suits...had to do lots of modifications in the seat and thigh areas to make it lay flat without looking like a overstuffed sausage.....I'm not a "standard" fit for my height and weight. I look great from a few feet away, but the fabric doesn't lie

Hi Marie
I think it's shocking that a surgeon would suggest something & it failed to deliver. In Australia, you'd make a formal complaint & they'd have to make it right. I'm in a similar situation. I've had lower body lift/thigh reduction/tt/breast lift plus revisions! I'm still disappointed. I hate aneastisia too. I was thinking about lipo, then after some time has past (wearing support garments), re-evaluate where the skin needs tightening & go over the old scars. I wont go back to the same surgeon, he wasn't good enough imo. Another surgeon just wanted to repeat what the 1st did. I'll keep asking around. I may have to travel to Sydney or Melbourne for a better surgeon. I feel your disappointment. I'm the only woman wearing long shorts on the tennis courts & hockey field, other than that, I look o.k.

I have to agree with Dave on this one, Marie. If you want, give me the 6K and I will follow you around and say to the crowds, "This is Marie, isn't she a smokin' white hottie?? Let's have a hand for Marie!!

No anesthesia, no recovery time, instant gratification....

waddya think?
