Default Has anyone had an arm tuck covered by insurance?

I just have a question that maybe someone would be able to answer. I was wondering is anybody ever had thier insurance cover an arm tuck, If so what was the criteria to get it covered. I know it is not really time for plastic surgery but I want to have as much info as I can for when the time is right.
Any help would be great
Thanks

We had a plastic surgeon come and talk to our WLS support group. He actually said that SOMETIMES lipo works really well on upper arms instead of the arm tuck thing. I think that's cheaper (and faster to heal) than the arm tuck. Keeping it in mind when it is my time...

My problem is skin... lots and lots of it, sadly... I've lost 5 inches of fat off each of my upper arms.. lipo just won't cut it, sadly.

If one can figure out how to get insurance to pay for an arm tuck, I'm on that for sure!

rashes, from what I understand.. Ulcers. Right? I'm really thinking of planting some poison ivy. So I go to hell, I won't be alone.

I was told by my surgeon, to report any rashes, ulcers etc.. to them right away. This will be logged into your files and could help where necessary.

For instance, when ever I walk on the treadmill the bat wings get rubbed raw cuz of loose skin, so I will be reporting that. And I will make sure I work out before I go into the doctor so they are able to see the proof.

I be there right with you, I really want to get an arm tuck covered.

I dont think lipo would work for me either as I have a lot of skin, if they just took away the fat it would not look any better

Does anyone know if they have improved the surgery for this? I have a friend that had it done and she wishes she would have kept the bat wings. Her scars are horrible. They go almost from pit to elbow, are very thick, tender, and get wicked red. She says the nerves are out of wack too. Sometimes they swell and get so painful all she can do is lay in bed and cry. Her RNY was 7 years ago and the arm lift was 2 years ago.

I heard of another operation where they go through your arm pit and you dont have the scars on your arms. This is what I want.

I heard of the same surgery. I think it's $6000. I can charge that. The problem is the other $20,000 worth of surgery I'll be needing (I need a total body lift). I look like a wrinkled up 80-year old woman without clothes. Sorry if I offended any 80-year old ladies.
