Talking whould medicaid pay for my plastic surgery?

i'm 7 months out and i lost a total of 140lbs and i' already got a lot of extra skin can somebody out there tell me that there's hope that my medicaid will cover plastic surgery please somebody tell me.

Probably only if you need the plastic surgery for medical reasons. For instance, if you have rashes and skin infections under your hanging skin, they might pay for that. If you do have skin problems, make sure your doctor is documenting it. You'll need documentation that it has been an ongoing problem and that it is not responding to treatment.

I don't know about Medicare specifically, but I have Mainecare right now and was looking on their site for some info, and saw that they will pay for it if you have an ongoing problem OR your skin hangs to your pubic bone, this has be 1 year out from WLS. I would start talking to a PCP soon about it, they may be able to help your approval go quicker.
