Default Apronectomy

Hi peeps

Had my apronectomy 12th March 2009 and am healing really well. The surgeon removed 30lbs of excess skin from my stomach and left me with 178 staples

Just had my 6 week check up and he says I am okay to go swimming now - something I have been waiting to do but couldn't because my stomach hung out the sides of the cossie and my lady garden was too big for the gusset. He did that as well I can't believe how well everything went. I was sitting up in recovery asking for a cup of tea 2 hrs after the op. Feeling no pain at all. Ditched the morphine pump after 2 days, the only pain I actually had was from the drainage tube on one side. I hardly took any paracetamol either. It was so weird to walk and not have a stomach slapping on my thighs nor a lady garden hanging between my legs just air passing through.

I am back to see him again in November to see about having the rest done, ie. my sides and back. It will lift my bum, get rid of the lumps on my hips and my back boobs (the extra bit on the side of your breasts). I will feel even more like a new woman. I have been buying so many clothes, especially nice knickers, trousers, skirts, shorter length tops. Credit card bill will be high next month

I am glad it went so well for you. I also love the references and know my husband will get a kick out of them as well.

Take care.
