I just had mine done last Thursday and can't tell how my results are yet...but he said he did a little lipo in the super pubis area and my hips so I wouldn't get what he called "dog ears". Sorry I can't help ya...but if it's only a difference of a few hundred and the results will be better I'd think it's worth it.

I see that you're from Pittsburgh. Have you consulted with Dr. Hurwitz? (Not sure about the spelling.) He's supposed to be one of the best plastic surgeons in the country who specializes in people who have lost a lot of weight. I would definitely do a consult with him if possible.

Default Go for it

I had my T/T 6 weeks ago and I think there was some lipo involved; my PS made the call as he went in and what he thought was best. I can't tell you right now what it looks like as the result will not be final for at least 4 months from now or a bit more.

But, I would definitely go for the T/T with the lipo. We all have lost weight but even sometimes with working out there is stubborn areas of our bodies that seem to hold the fat worse than others. If you will get a better result and it's only a few hundred more... go for it!

I had lipo with my tummy tuck, I dont have any regrets. When you have an area of your body contoured with lipo its very hard for fat cells to collect there again, very hard. I have heard stories of the lipo being done carelessly and women have "lines" of fat across the belly where the PS missed and the fat settled with some weight gain. I didnt have this problem, my stomach is really smooth and flat, I LOVE IT. But, like I said fat doesnt reattach there (not with minimal gain anyway) so it goes to other areas. I was hoping it would settle in my ass (because I dont have one... wishful thinking on my part) it settles in my upper thighs. I have some THICK legs. Not necessarily really fat but thick and jiggly. I had a thigh tuck too, no lipo.

I say go for it! You have many peeps who have done it so you are ahead of the game when expecting long term results.

I have not yet been in your shoes, however, I did go to a seminar on plastic surgery. The doctor that gave the lecture is an expert when it comes to plastics after weight loss. He said it is almost ALWAYS necessary to have some lipo before a TT. I don't know why, I assume its to smooth it out all the way? I cant even imagine the worry running through your head right now. I wish you luck!
