I did it and survived...
I had my hernia repairs and tummy tuck on Thursday and came home Saturday. Had trouble finding a pain med that worked for me. I am now on dilauded and doing much better home with my family. I have an inverted T scar as he had to repair my two LARGE hernias that were mid line. I actually had over 11 lbs removed. the scale only says I lost 5 but i'm sure all the water retention and these drains i'm carrying around amount to that. It is weird not to see my pannus that had been with me for the last geeze 26 yrs or so. I have four drains and go back to see the surgeon on Thursday to hopefully have at least one or two removed. We will see. This by far was the most painful of all my surgeries but so far the results have been worth it. Got a long road ahead of me but i'm on my way!

Congrats on your surgery! I haven't been on here in quite a while and since I live down the road from you near Soldotna I am curious to know who did your surgery and would you recomend him/her. Hope you have an uneventful recovery.

Andrea, I'm so sorry about the pain and the drains, but I'm glad the dilaudid is working and that you're on the mend! You're definitely full of fluids right now, so don't worry about what the scale says - the weight will start dropping again soon. Lots of prayers and good thoughts to you - your tummy is going to be gorgeous just like the rest of you and much more comfortable than it was with the hernias and loose skin!

Cheryl...Hey there...nice to see someone else from Alaska. I had Dr. Lenhart in Wasilla did my plastic surgery. I believe he's one of the few in the area. So far so good. ONce I heal up more I will give you a better answer on him. How far is Soldotna? If you are even in town and want to get together...let me know.
Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Each day is getting better and better. Thank god I have my hubby who is taking AWESOME care of me...couldn't do it with out him. No Playboy or Bikini in my future! LOL.

Speedy recovery wishes
Hi Andie,
Good to see you've come through your surgeries and found something to deal with the pain effectively. Hope you are over the hard part soon. It is great to see that skin gone isn't it?
Hugs,
Kimberly

Hey, I am about 160 miles south on the Kenai Peninsula. Right now I don't have plans for an Anchorage trip but who knows.
