Default plastic surgery and medicaid

I have a fear....that I will lose weigth and get healthy but be hideous. I am only 24 and still VERY interested in men and that subject. I want to feel attractive and sexy with my clothes off and know I will never be able to afford my own surgeries(medicaid is payign for GB). I am already in MAJOR debt from college loans, and with this economy I haven't been able to find a job - Anthropology here btw). I am worried about losing th eweight but gaining the massive amounts of skin. Anyone knwo about medicaid covering plastic repaoirs after GB surgery?

with your age you may not have to worry about plastics. Chances are your skin is still pretty elastic and you may not have problems. Rather than planning for plastics (which is great but PAINFUL!!) I would try to avoid it. Use some of the skin firming creams and focus on weights as well as cardio at the gym to keep everything tight.
Most insurances do not cover plastics unless there is a medically necessary reason. LIke major major rashes and irritation.

your weight is not much higher than my high weight was- and I have several years on you with 3 child births and I so far am not seeing alot of excess skin- I am early out but my skin seems to be shrinking- I have lost 6 inches from my chest and about 7 inches from my waist. I think age helps in this greatly...

try not to stress about this yet- be happy and enjoy the loosing moments

This is my biggest fear as well. I'm 26 but am scared that I will lose the weight but have tons of excess skin. Does anyone know of any good skin firming creams?

it all depends on how much elasticity is left in your skin. if your skin has been over stretched for a really long period of your life, no amount of exercise is going to tighten that. Certain areas of my body did okay. like my face...thank god! but i did have a tummy tuck and thigh lift. i'm saving to have my arms done next. nothing helped those areas. i think medicaid may only pay for a panniculectomy (skin only-no muscle tightening) if you meet certain criteria and have excellent MD documentation of chronic rashes and infections. it won't pay for anything else. try to to get yourself crazy over this. what's going to happen will happen. focus on the weight loss and getting healthy. then, if you need plastics, get a second/part time job to help save for it. or you could finance it as well. don't overwhelm yourself right now. focus on one thing at a time. Good luck....sue

It actually sickens me to think that someone my age is considering plastic surgery to feel attractive to a man.

#1. TRUE LOVE WILL OVERLOOK YOUR SHARPEI THIGHS. I can guarantee you this. Your body may not be perfectly smooth, or look like a models, but it will still be beautiful.

#2. If a man can't overlook that, then he's not worth getting to know. There are some POS men out there who you will come across and you just have to overlook what they think and find someone who loves you for you.

Trust meeeee, I dated after wls and i was very lucky that NONE of them cared about my friggin thighs/arms/tummy... as much as i did. The guy i'm with now, doesn't even notice.. he actually thinks i am exaggerating.

I agree with Jersey girl you are still young. work out very hard and everything should fall into place. If a man loves you he will love for who you are. When I met my husband I was not overweight but I was not skinny he still married me we had 2 children I gained weight and he still loved. I had wls and he didn't want me to have the surgery I am down to 180 and still want to loose more weight but he wants me to stay at this weight. So if a guy loves u he will love u for u. Do things in life that will make you happy not things for other people.

Try Papaya kojic or licorine base soap/cream.
These work wonders.
