Default Plastic Surgery Revisions

Well I'm headed for some revisions to my tummy tuck and breast reduction on Tuesday. It will be done in my plastic surgeon's office under local anesthetic. I'm a little nervous about it but I trust his judgement so its a 'go'. He plans on taking additional tucks on the sides of both breasts and also my lower abdomen. I'll be letting all of you know how it goes probably later that day, if I'm not too uncomfortable.

I'll try to get some before pictures of those areas this weekend and some after pictures to add to my plastic surgery collection if anyone is interested. I'm hoping this will be the end of surgeries for quite a while. I think I've about had enough to last me for several years over the past 2 years.

Good luck, Beth....we'll be thinking of you and hoping that you aren't too uncomfortable afterwards!

And please let us know how things go...though I know all will go as planned.

Whitney, I just want some areas tightened up a little further. Since he removed SO much skin the first time around he was a little conservative. With that much skin being removed it isn't unusual to have to go back and refine some areas. Things are so swollen that it is hard to tell what the finished product will be. Now that the swelling is gone I have extra skin still under my arms and down in my pubic area. So those are the areas he will tighten up further. He told me he would do it all for $600 total cost so I decided to go for it.

When I had my original surgery I was told that revisions aren't unusual. So I went into my first surgery expecting this. Just a little nervous that this is under local and that I will be awake. I'll just make sure I keep my eyes closed. *L*

Everyone else, thanks for your thoughts and well wishes. I appreciate them.

Beth,
Can you bring one of those sleep masks and maybe an iPod so you can not have to worry about keeping your eyes closed and the music can distract you some?

That way, if the surgeon says "oops" you won't hear him! <j/k!>

If it were me and I had to have surgery while awake, I think that is what I would try to do, anyway.

*L* He better not say 'oops!' I work with him at the hospital and if anything like that would happen he knows he will never be able to live it down.

I may bring music. That's a good idea. I'm hoping he will give me a little something to relax me once I get there.

No matter what I couldn't do what you are doing!! You are a strong determined woman and it's going to work out 100%! You are going to be soooo happy in your skin, even if you had to watch it...YIKES! Yep...My arse is going to be OUT, OUT, OUT!! (Bock....bock....bock...)
