Jim and Katie...thank you for your positive thoughts. They worked and I am already home safe and sound. I got through it with minimal discomfort. Dr Ford made sure I was nice and numb and was very careful about not causing me much pain. From what I can see...I'm all in bandages right now...I think I will be very happy with the results. He took off about 6 inch long and 3 inch wide piece of skin in my pubic area along with any fat that was still there. The rolls under the arms seem to be gone so I am thrilled. I'm back in my lovely binder for the next week....have ice packs on and a Vicodan in me already. I'm not real painful but it's starting to hurt under my arms the most.

I'm just happy this is done but it really was SO much better than I thought it would be and Dr Ford was great with constantly checking if I was doing ok.

That is wonderful news Beth - glad that all went well and that you're now safely home.

OK - off with you - you need to rest. hugs.

Thumbs up

I am so glad you are home safe and on the mend. You have been soo supportive and it is nice to return some of that support. I hope you are able to keep the pain in check and the swelling to a minimum. rest as much as you can and follow your doc's advice.

May God bless you and yours

Hey, feel free.......I can even put you up!! He really has been great and I am so pleased that I picked him to be my plastic surgeon. I really have gotten to see a whole different side of him from the surgeon I've worked with in the hospital. He really is so different with his patients than he is with the nursing staff.

Dave thank you so much for your support. I'm doing ok though I'm starting to hurt quite a bit. I'm keeping up with the Vicodan, keeping ice on it...and DH just went out to pamper me with Starbucks......I'm so lucky...I got me a wonderful surgeon and a good man!

awwwwww thanks sweetie. Not doing the best tonight but I'm ok. I'm pretty sore under the arms so I've been taking my Vicodan but now I'm nauseated and having dry heaves. I probably need something solid in my pouch to settle it down. I may have to cave here and eat a couple saltines even though it isn't allowed on the 5DPT. Vicodan usually doesn't make me sick but something is doing a number on me here tonight....maybe its the vicodan along with the antibiotic he has me on.

I may just have to crawl into bed here soon and hope that I can sleep.

Still am glad I did this....but I'm hurtin'.....

Beth,

Please rest as much as possible to keep your pain level at the minimum. I wish I had advice on what to take to ease your pouch. What is 5DPT?? We are all praying for to feel better and to heal quickly. I hope you took enough time off of work to rest enough... Sending loving hugz your way... God Bless..
Hugz,
Tina
