Default Best wishes!

Jim, best wishes on your belt lipectomy! I'm sending you good thought and prayers. Thank you for posting your "before" pics - even with the loose skin, you look great and can definitely be proud of your terrific transformation! Can't wait to hear how you're doing...

Default Photo's 1 day after Belt Lipectomy ***warning - a little graphic**

Hey everyone,

I made it through the TT & Lipo. I had to go back under anestethia because of a bleed but made it home OK. All I have to say is Vicodone is my best friend right now...oh yeah..and my wife. These pictures are from the day after surgery. I go back in to get my drains removed on Monday. Does it hurt to have the drains removed? Let me know.

Jim

Glad everything went well. I can see that "flat" tummy! I'm happy for you!

Take care and keep up the good work!

EEEK Jim! Pulling my drain after gall bladder surgery was "uncomfortable," but not really painful... if you can endure THIS, you can get thru "That!"

Other than ouchie... looks like you'll have a killer bod!!!

Congrats!!!

Well done Jim!
How brave of you to have the surgery!
What impressive results - flat tummy alright!
And, thanks for sharing something so intimate -
your graphic photographs make the whole explanation
of the procedure!
Cheers,
Vim

Thumbs up Congrats

Congratulations on a "new tummy". I had mine done 22 Jan of this year. What a difference it makes! No, the drains don't hurt. I had 3 and they didn't hurt a bit...just feels like something crawling inside your skin...LOL. They will tell you to take a deep breath and then blow out hard....as you blow out, they pull the drains out...piece of cake.

Good luck and remember to TAKE IT EASY!!!!!

Jim, I'm glad you're home recovering! Although the drains and bruising are not pretty, your abdomen looks great - trim and flat. The scar looks like it's in a pretty inconspicuous place ( as far as bathing suits, etc) - very nicely done by your surgeon! Congrats on your surgery and thank you for the photo update...

Default Thank you!

I'm glad you had the courage to show us these intimate pictures. It really helps me understand what I still have ahead of me.

I only had my surgery 4 weeks ago, but today at my doctor's office I learned I have lost 37 pounds so far. I swear I can see my skin loosening up already too. My abdomen and breasts aren't lookin' so hot these days!!

I had a drain in after surgery and when she pulled it out it felt very strange. It wasn't pain, but I didn't like the feeling at all! There was about 6" of tube going up under my ribcage by my heart. She had me take a deep breath then she just pulled it out. Not something I would like to have done again, but not painful, not anything to worry about. Just "weird".

Jim, I echo the words of appreciation for your photographs. It can't be easy, but it's gotta be worth it. Congratulations and may each day be better than the previous one! Thanks for the inspiration!
