I'm finally getting my plastics!!!
Hey Everyone,
I went and scheduled my tummy tuck today. I'm actually getting a belt lipectomy and some lipo around the chest area. I go in on April 2nd for my surgery and if all goes well I'll be styling at the beach by summertime. I'll be sure to post some before and after photos when I get closer to the day. Thanks for all of your support....It has really helped.
Jim

Jim,
You definitely better post before and afters! You weight loss is amazing. I'm nowhere near ready for plastics (only 7 weeks post-op) but that part scares me more then the WLS!
Good luck...and keep us posted!

Excellent Timing
Jim seems like you have taken time to get to this gift and not rushed. The results should be great, I too am excited about beach time starting here in May. The abdominoplasty was done so soon because my panis was 40 pounds and was interferring with me getting my hip replacement. But I think losing the weight and working on toning and then getting the proceedures like you are doing will give you a better satisfaction, as it is now I have lost another 15 pounds since abdominoplasty and the Dr already talks of touch ups which I will do, but I am definately waiting to go through many months of exercising, building some muscle and doing what I can with the left overs that he wants to touch up on. Good luck and way to go.

Everyone,
Thanks for your support and well wishes. I go in for my pre-op on March 20th.....I'll post some before photos then and try to do a every few day photo log after so people can see the progression of healing. Thanks
Jim
PS....does anyone out there have any experience with lipo....I'm getting the belt lipectomy which will take care ofthe skin around my mid section. The doc also recommended to me to have lipo done on my chest (right under the nipple area) to remove some fatty pockets I still have. My concern is that I will have just more loose skin under those areas after the lipo. Question...does the skin after lipo usually shrink back in or will I have to develop my chest muscles more to fill the void. Any infor, advice, or comments are welcome.

Congratulations Jim!! Having gone through plastic surgery myself I know it can be an exciting but also emotional time. I'm thrilled that I took the step, though and I'm sure you will be too.
I'm afraid I can't help you with the lipo. My surgeon did a little bit down in my pubic area but not much. He did a full abdominoplasty and breast lift but no other lipo. From what I've read your skin can rebound back depending on how much fat is removed and the elasticity of the skin. It does kind of sound like it is an individualized thing and there are no guarantees.
Good luck and let us know how things go.
