That seems very reasonable. I had a belt lipectomy and medial thigh lift. I saw the EOB the other day and it is over $42,000 total for the hospitalization, pharmacy and a 5 day stay. I haven't seen the surgeons bill yet. YIKES!!!

That sounds pretty fair to me too. I had a full tummy tuck along with a breast lift/reduction. My Surgeon's charge was $8,778 plus an additional $1500 for the muscle tightening. My hospital charges were about $17,000 (4 day stay) plus about another $2500 for anesthesia.
Let us know how your surgery went. For me it was a rough one. The pain was controlled well with the meds but I was totally exhausted for a long time. I had significant blood loss so that certainly didn't help matters.

Two drains, a lot of pain - controlled with meds., 32 inch incision, I sleep up to 18 hours a day in my recliner, I guess I had a hernia anyway she (what a sweet lady) did a lot of muscle tightening. I will go in on Thursday and hope to get the drains out. No stiches just tape and glue I guess. Thankyou all for the kind words and thoughts. Tim

Good to see you back, Tim. Yep, it is rough going but in the end I found it was SO worth it! I hear you about the sleeping. I was so exhausted after my plastics. I was back to taking naps at least twice a day. The exhaustion kind of surprised me but when I heard how much blood I lost and I thought of what a huge surgery this really was, it shouldn't have.
Hope you can get those drains out this week. It feels so good to have them gone! Rest up and keep taking good care of yourself.

32"! Wow, that must be a lot of pain! Maybe with the hernia you can get some insurance coverage for it.
Take good care of you, Tim, and keep us posted on how you're doing.
