Default Deviled ham

Made this today - day 3 of 'soft foods' regimen. I tolerated it very well.

1 can deviled ham (6.75 oz.)
1 tablespoon mayonnaise (you could use unflavored yogurt, also)
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
a dash (no more than 1/8 teaspoon) ground cloves
a little freshly ground pepper, if desired

Mix together and enjoy on crackers or melba toast.

The cloves gives this a nice zing, but don't overdo it.

Phil,

Sounds good. I hope to go to soft foods tomorrow! Yeehaw! Yesterday I got a day "out" with my buddy. He is starting his own business and needed help with things like printers and the like. So he picked me up and took me to the new office first. Then we went to Frye's Electronics in San Marcos. I made him give ME the shopping cart and I took off. I was ALLL over that store. He said that he had trouble keeping up with me!! Then we took all the stuff we bought back over to his office and put things up. Okay, so I sat on the couch and assembled stuff (like putting staples in staplers, tape in tape dispensers....the hard stuff right?). Then I made him buy me dinner, soup. Went to a chinese place that has a nice broth soup with noodles and he told them I couldn't have sugar, salt or noodles so they scooped out the soup only. Next we went to church!! I even ran the powerpoint last night at the church (okay, so you sit down to do this). Then back to his office to finish setting up his computer and then home, stopping to get groceries first (he has been eating all my sugar free popsicles and I needed soup). Okay, I wimped out at the store cause I was starting to hurt and took the motorized cart, but I didn't take a nap!! First day since the surgery that I didn't take one. And I did very, very well!! No soreness or pain this morning either! I am just soooooo amazed!

Phil,

I had this for lunch today (and probably for lunch tomorrow or Sunday). Absolutely fantastic! I put mine on reduced fat/carb crackers and it was great! Thanks for the recipe!
