Andy's Ghetto Icee
I never thought I'd be experimenting with foods and such, but after a week on liquids only, I was loosing my mind. I went into the kitchen tonight and before I knew it, I had a new favorite on my hands. I measure by eye ... and since I've only made this once, I'll have to make it again to see if it works how I think it does.
This is good for those who are newly post-op, or Phase 1 as we call it around here -- the clear liquids only phase.
Popsicle Fruit Punch Icee
1c. ice
2 Sugar free popsicles (Optionial: use 2 flavors)
1c. fruit juice (no sugar added, any flavor)
1/4c. cold water
Place ice and popsicles in blender. Pour about 3/4 of your juice into the blender. Blend ingredients until they being to "smooth" out. Slowly add the rest of your juice and blend until smooth. Add your water, blend until ingredients swirl semi-freely.
My first brain freeze post-op! What fun!
Enjoy! My wife, who has not had WLS, tried this and really liked it. Feedback appreciated!

A variation on Andy's Icee....
2 SF Fudgesicles
1 ice cube
1/4 - 1/2 milk (eyeball it)
I can't have the fudgesicles I bought and my daughter loved the icee I made, so I made her one with the fudge pops. She said it tastes just like a Wendy's frosty!
