Exclamation Yummy Sauces to get that protein down!

I used to LOVE ketchup and BBQ with my burgers and steaks but I am leeery about the sugar content and the sugar free is kinda yucky tasting. So I concocted these two recipes after my favorite sauces. These go great with steak, burgers, chicken breast etc.. It has helped me keep the meat moist when eating and add protein. The base for both recipe's is 2C low fat yogurt I put it in a coffee filter in a strainer in a bowl in the fridge overnight.

Greek Yogurt Sauce

2 cups plain yogurt (drained)
1/2 cup finely chopped peeled seeded cucumbers
2 tablespoons chopped onions
2-4 finely chopped garlic clovesr
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix together and let set about an hour before dinner.

Tiger Dill Sauce

2 C. Drained yogurt
3tbs horseradish
1 tsp chopped fresh Dill Weed
(I also add a splash of tobasco for an extra kick and a little more horseradish)

I love cucumber sauce! Thanks for the recipes. I have noticed that I'm big on salty and spice more now than ever. This will help me to get my dear hubby's extra dry grilled chicken breast down! I love him but no one can ruin a piece of meat like he can!

Great recipes - thanks! My mom makes a similar Lebanese version, and we grew up on it, loving to put it on anything and everything, mmm!

AWWWW Thanks Bridget! I am trying to make every bite taste awesome! To me it's the quality not the quantity!

Also this evening when making my chicken cutlets I beat the tar out of them with one of those mallot things, then I soaked them in fat free buttermilk OMGosh they were soooooooo tender and juicy! I usually prefer dark meat as the breasts tend to be dry but they came out perfect! With a little Greek Yogurt sauce mmmmmmmmmm heaven!
