New to Thinner Times
I'm totally blind and have been since birth. I had gastric bypass surgery on December 31 of 2008 and have lost 30 pounds before surgery, and 40 pounds after surgery. My main exercise is water aerobics at Gold's Gym. I have other pre-existing medical conditions that require medications that slow my weight loss down some, but at least I'm losing and not gaining. I've never been comfortable cooking in the oven, or on top of the stove so I'm looking for any gastric bypass microwave or crockpot recipes that you all may have experimented with. Some blind people are comfortable around stoves and grills, but I'm not one of them. I'd appreciate any microwave or blender recipes. I've experimented with different types of protein shakes and da vinci syrups too. I just registered to this site today, so look forward to hearing from people.

Hi Melissa.. welcome to TT. I can't say that I have much in the way of microwave recipes. I pretty much use it solely to warm things up. I hope you are able to find help here though.
One of my absolute favorite meals needs no cooking whatsoever, though.
I use Fage 2% yogurt- which is a greek style yogurt with 17 grams of protein in 17 oz. mixed with 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Kashi Go Lean Honey Almond Flax cereal and a packet of splenda.
YUMM and lots of protein. Good luck!

Welcome to TT Melissa. I don't recall seeing a lot of crockpot recipes on here, though I think there are some. There are, though, a lot of good soup recipes and chili recipes, and I think you could easily adapt them to be done in the crockpot instead of on the stove. Try searching for soup and chili.

Crockpot Taco Soup
Welcome!! One crockpot recipe does come to mind I was just looking at it this morning. I've made it quite a few times and it's yummy! I have seen quite a few others that are really good in the recipes section. Hope you enjoy!
