Default Banana Puddin' for the Fourth!

I just made this last night on a whim to see if it would work. It totally did and my family didn't even know it was a healthy version!

What you need:
2 bananas sliced in thin "coins"
1 box of vanilla wafers
2 containers of FAT FREE whipped cream
2 boxes of SUGAR FREE banana pudding mix
4 cups of skim milk

What you do:
1. Make the pudding according to the directions.
2. Layer the pudding: layer of cookies, layer of pudding, layer of bananas, layer of whipped cream, repeat.
3. slide extra cookies into the side all the way around.
4. Top with whatever cookies are left.

I didn't count up all the calories and such, but a serving of the cookies has 7 sugars, the milk has 8g sugar (in the form of lactose...), the bananas have sugar in them, and the whipped cream has a very minimal amount per serving. Now, this made a big tub of pudding--and even a spoonful didn't represent a full serving of any of the ingredients, which I surely would have dumped on. Eating this in moderation, I didn't dump at all and was able to eat "dessert" with everybody else. (and again several times today as I go back to the refrigerator to continue the taste testing...I know, bad- bad- bad-) I'm guessing the serving I had last night (just a large spoonful) had around 5 or 6 grams of sugar in it--and my body is okay with that, in fact, it was really satisfied with that!

Happy Fourth!

-Mike
