Amber,
I'm glad you're enjoying Snapple diet iced tea. I used to live on it. But right after surgery, I tried some and it tasted horrible to me. I actually (gasp) gave it to my son to drink instead.

Well I love diet coke and the other day while experimenting in the kitchen with my new "magic bullet" i decided to put a whole lot of ice & diet coke together & blend it in the magic bullet until it became what i like to call a "iced diet coke slurrrpy"....
It was SooOO Yummmm...And all the fizzy bubbles were gone... leaving only the flavor of the diet coke!
Try this any time of the day... keep you hydrated as well!

Stuart and I are thinking of buying a magic bullet.. how do you like it? Is it worth the investment? Please say yes, cause I really want one.. LOL

I have heard no pop due to the carbonation in your belly but is there any other reason?

Hmmmmm.... The Carbonation is pretty much the main reason... apparantly it "Streches" the pouch... however, my Doc gave me the go ahead 6 weeks post op.. NO SHIT!! lol
However, it is really a "useless" non-nutrional drink if ya know what i mean?
It also makes a lot of people uncomfortable in the belly region, gives some people gas... and i have also heard that it prevents calcium and other nutrients from our bodies absorbing them as easily.. it's hard for a RNY'er to absorb as it is.... let alone with the added carbonation..
That's as far as i know... i hope that's mostly correct..
By the way i am 2 months and 6 weeks post op, and even though i have been told to drink the suga-free soda...i have probably drank it about 4 times.. lol... I still get full reallly easily.. have lose 65lbs and personally.. I PREFER TO JUST DRINK GOOD OL'E WATER!!
TAKE CARE,
Sue

I hadn't heard of one of these, but have been looking for something like it! It actually sounds like something you would get from a "novelty" shop, but am looking forward to receiving it and trying one of these...I'm going to try Root Beer!
