Default mocha chocolate chip ice cream

Ingredients:

one cup skim milk
one packet general foods international cafe mocha on the go
one scoop protein powder- vanilla, chocolate, or unflavored will all work
1/4 cup sugar free chocolate chips- I use carbsmart, they taste just like regular chocolate chips

Combine milk, cafe mocha, and protein powder in a bender and blend to mix well. Pour into ice cream maker and follow directions to operate the machine. Add the chocolate chips five minutes before the ice cream is done.

This is a really delicious treat!

Kelly - I've just worked out the approximate nutrition for this recipe. It's always helpful to have that information.

I plugged in the stats for Unjury Vanilla Protein Powder - if a different one is used, the numbers need to be adjusted accordingly.

This is per recipe - not per serving . It'll probably serve 2-3 but I won't be making it cause I would eat it all in one go! :

410 calories
39g carbs
14g fat
32g protein
4mg cholesterol
230mg sodium
15g sugars
14g fiber

Lol, that's my problem...I want to eat it all! Corrine, did you figure out the nutritional stats using the regular Cafe Mocha mix, or the sugar free type? I know it comes in sugar free, because I buy it myself.

I do make protein ice cream...usually using the recipes from theworldaccordingtoeggface

If you stick to the basics, the calories, fat, etc aren't bad at all. It's the chocolate chips, nuts, etc that really up the counts.

Kelly, check out this Protein Ice Cream recipe. It's the best one I've made so far. theworldaccordingtoeggface: Banana Bread Protein Ice Cream

I use the sugar free cafe mocha, too. I think it has 60 calories.
