Default Fage Yogurt Avocado Buttermilk salad dressing

Fage Yogurt Avocado Buttermilk salad dressing

Ingredients:

* 1 6-oz. container 0% Fage Greek Yogurt
* 1/4 c cultured buttermilk
* 1 clove garlic
* 1/4 c onion
* 1/2 c cilantro
* 1 avocado
* 2 pinches sea salt
* 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Note: The Fage 0% fat greek yogurt is VERY rich and creamy. It is also thick. If you use a different yogurt, you may get different results, especially with respect to the texture and moisture content.

Directions:

Turn on your Vita Mix (blender) and turn it up to 10 and drop garlic and onion onto moving blades (with lid on!).

Turn off mixer.

Add whole 6 ounces of the Fage 0% fat greek yogurt, buttermilk, avocado, cilantro, lemon juice, salt, and then blend on 10 (low) on the Vita-Mix until smooth.
If the dressing is too thick, add some buttermilk slowly until it is the consistency you like.

Store in the refrigerator.

my note: I'm sure not many of us own Vita-Mix blenders since they are uber expensive. A regular blender will be fine...just process it awhile longer under it's smooth.

Just made this dressing tonight. I had some avocados that we're going to go bad. This dressing is delicious! I put it on a salad with tuna, egg, and cheese.
