Default Vanilla Latte Protein Ice Cream

I made this today and it was so delicious! It would be even better, I think, with the addition of some sugar free chocolate chips, but I didn't have any. I'll get some for next time, though.

I just got my ice cream maker earlier this week, and I think it's going to be a great investment. I love ice cream but haven't been able to eat it since the surgery because of the sugar. I'm looking forward to making all kinds of delicious sugar free flavors.

Vanilla Latte Protein Ice Cream

Ingredients:

12 ounces skim milk
one General Foods International On The Go Vanilla Latte packet
one scoop vanilla protein powder

Directions:

Stir all ingredients together. Pour into ice cream maker. Mix for 25 minutes, and enjoy!

Mmmm, that sounds good. I haven't used my ice cream maker for a couple of weeks...time to get it out again.

Also, check out the blog theworldaccordingtoeggface

She has tons of protein ice cream recipes posted.

I found her blog. That is actually what inspired me to get an ice cream maker. She has sooo many delicious-sounding flavors on there!

Be sure to check out the ones for banana ice cream and pistachio ice cream. Those two are my faves.

Lol, it's basically just a frozen protein shake. Some of the recipes can get a little fancy (and somewhat unhealthy), but I stick to the more basic ones.

I'm not sure if they make an ice cream attachment for the kitchen aid...not sure how that would freeze. I have a Cuisinart ice cream freezer, which was around $40 on Amazon. You keep the bowl in the freezer until you're ready to use it, dump in the ingredients, and let it run for 20-25 minutes. No ice necessary, like the old fashioned ones.

I have the same ice cream maker Sherry has. $48 on Amazon.

Like Sherry said, it's basically like a frozen protein shake. Very healthy, low fat or fat free, and sugar free, and high in protein. A very palatable way to get the protein in!
