Default Banana Bread Protein Ice Cream

I just made this earlier today, and it's to DIE for! OMG, so yummy! I got this off the blog The World According To Eggface. If you haven't checked out this blog, it's a great one...she has phenomenal recipes.

Link to the original article: theworldaccordingtoeggface: Banana Bread Protein Ice Cream
1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk (or Regular Milk...I used soy)
2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Banana, mashed (I didn't mash...just cut it up, and threw it in the blender)
1 Tablespoon Sugar Free Torani Syrup (I used SF Caramel)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
dash of Nutmeg (I left this out)
3 Tablespoons Nuts, chopped (I left this out)

Mix together milk, protein, syrup and spices. Toss it in a blender on super high. You want it fluffy almost double in size. Pour into ice cream maker. Pour in mashed banana. Follow your machine's instructions for freezing. 5 minutes before done add the nuts.

Not sure if you could make this without an ice cream maker or not. I have this one: Amazon.com: Cuisinart ICE-20 Automatic 1-1/2-Quart Ice-Cream Maker, White: Home & Garden Eggface has lots and lots of protein ice cream recipes on her blog, so I get good use out of it.

Ugh!!! I'm ready to kill my hubby! I had a yogurt machine and he threw it out when we moved to the new house in November.... This sounds soooo good!

I'm not sure a yogurt machine would work Karen...don't those heat instead of cool?

I actually bought an ice cream maker just because of all of the awesome protein ice cream recipes that Eggface posts on her blog.

I don't know, in all honesty. I kept the bowls in the freezer until using them. I will definitelty get something else to use but he got tired of seeing it sitting and collecting dust. I just wasn't able to use it at the time due to being so close after surgery but now I could definitely do it. His heart and mind were in the right place, but it was a $120 machine - LOL, like I said, I could have killed him!
