Buffalo Chicken Hot Wing Dip
Buffalo Chicken Hot Wing Dip
PER SERVING (1/15th of recipe, about 1/4 cup): 68 calories, 1.5g fat, 616mg sodium, 2g carbs, 0g fiber, 1g sugars, 10g protein -- POINTS® value 1*
Ingredients:
Two 9.75-oz. (or 10-oz.) cans 98% fat-free chunk white chicken breast in water, drained
One 8-oz. tub fat-free cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Frank's RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup fat-free ranch dressing
1/4 cup fat-free Greek yogurt (Fage 0% is the bes t!)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place cream cheese in a medium bowl and stir until smooth. Mix in Frank's RedHot, mozzarella cheese, ranch dressing, and yogurt. Stir in chicken until thoroughly combined. Spoon mixture evenly into a deep 8-inch by 8-inch baking dish.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, or until mixture is heated through. Stir well and enjoy!
P.S. We love dipping carrot sticks and red bell pepper chunks into this dip, but we've also dunked baked tortilla chips into it and used it as a sandwich spread!
MAKES 15 SERVINGS
HG Alternative! To make this dish FAST, skip the oven altogether. Prepare dip according to the directions, but in a microwave-safe dish. Then microwave uncovered on high for 5 minutes (stopping and stirring halfway through cooking), or until hot.

Great potluck dish
There is a girl I work with who makes this frequently but cooks it in a crock pot and brings it to pot lucks! Great stuff!

Hey! Thanks! I just bought some canned chicken at Aldi and wasn't sure how to fix it. Great idea as I love spice.

***drooling!***
I've had this stuff at potlucks before, and it's to die for. Most people eat it on crackers (a no-no for us), but it's excellent just by itself, or on carrots and celery sticks.

I didn't eat anything like that for the first several months. The only carbs I ate were those that occur naturally in fruit, veggies, and dairy products.
I know that different surgeons/nuts recommend different things. From my experience, the people who limit the "bready carbs" (crackers, bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, corn, etc) tend to lose better.

Sherry's right. I see there are A LOT of posts lately that are talking about carbs. And they're people who are very early out.
I don't get (and I support every single one of Sherry's posts about carbs).
I'm 6.5 years out. I lost 150 lbs. in 10 months. I ate ZERO EMPTY CARBS. No bread, crackers, pasta, rice. Ya know...those empty useless calorie foods. I didn't eat them for over 2 years. My pouch didn't like them because they filled me up and prevented me from eating the much-needed protein.
Protein for my hair - and I never noticed a hair loss, and this was before everyone talked about it.
Protein for my muscles.
Protein for basically everything.
I personally don't care if anyone eats carbs. It's your body. BUT if you want to know the key to my success I'll tell you this: IT'S BECAUSE I DIDN'T EAT EMPTY CARBS FOR 2 YEARS. With just a couple of exceptions. I mean like A COUPLE.
Everyone makes their own choices. So if you haven't lost all your weight yet, I'll give you a tip: don't eat any empty carbs.
Your body, your choice. Take it for what it's worth, just like any other advice. And yep, I roll my eyes and think to myself: "gee, this person is three weeks out and they're enjoying carbs. That's just plain dumb."
I'm not afraid to say what I think. If you want to succeed like I did, then you can choose to listen to my choices and then make your own.
Oh, and by the way, I broke the cycle of carb addiction by not eating them. Go figure...it was self-discipline after that 10 months when I hit goal. It wasn't the pouch, it was discipline. And cutting the addiction made the discipline easier.
And yeah, I'm gonna post this in a few places. So y'all can take it or leave it.
I've got success on my side. What have you got? Only you can answer that one.

I know this is old, but I was wondering if I could make this without the chicken in it? Does anyone know if it would turn out ok with just the other ingredients as is, or how to tweak it?
