Default Good Protein Smoothie

I made a protein smoothie this morning that was quite good. I blended the following in a blender:

1 cup water
1 cup orange juice
1 envelope vanilla MET-Rx powder
9 frozen strawberries
5 ice cubes

Thanks. Those cuties are a big part of the reason I had the WLS. (They're 3 years old now).

That smoothie is also good with skim milk instead of water, and with a little Splenda added.

Hey jared, I'm wondering what kind of smoothie I will be able to tolerate and yours seems quite good. I love strewberries and fruits in my smooties but wouldn't it fill me up too much since I just had my surgery? BTW how many oz of protien shakes is good to start off with?? thanks...

I just had mine too. I was drinking those smoothies right away. I couldn't always finish the whole thing, though. I would say that rather than going for a certain number of ounces, just drink what's comfortable and toss the rest.

hey jared..thats exactly how I eat- I don't really eat 1 or 2 oz...sometimes even less...once I feel full i don't push it. I guess I'll drink the protein shakes the same way. thanks.
