Default The Non Cooks "Blueberry Pie" Liquid Dessert- 18 grms protein

Ingredients

1 Dannon Light and Fit Blueberry (60 cal, 5 g protein)
1 packet of Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast Vanilla Flavor (60 cal, 5 grm protein)
1 cup skim milk (90 cal, 8 grams protein)
ice cubes are optional

I mix all of these together. Stir or Blend and Tada! An 18 grams of protein treat! I like this on days I am having trouble getting in enough food and protein. I drink it like a smoothie. YUM!

I also suggest substituting the blueberry yogurt with strawberry and the Vanilla Instant Breakfast for Chocolate. Chocolate Covered Strawberry!

That sound yummy, but have you considered ditching the high calories and low protein of the Carnation Instant Breakfast in favor of a protein powder? The Matrix powders taste great and average only 50 cents a serving in a five pound bag. THe vanilla is my favorite and seems to go with everything. Yogurt is an excellent post-op food, but the skim milk has lots of carbs. Replacing the skim milk and the carnation with a protein powder would greatly up the protein and decrease the calories and carbs!

Just a thought!

Default Protein powder

I do use protein powders but I think they taste nasty. I would rather use the Carnation because it actually tastes good and I don't get stomach cramps and gas from it. The protein powders make give me bubble guts and don't satisfy my sweet tooth the way this does.

Well, any way you can do it, be sure to get all of your protein in. I did not, when I was new, and I lost over half of my hair! People kept asking me if I was receiving chemotherapy for cancer. I had such a hard time getting in the protein. I still can't eat meat very well. I am so thankful I found the GOOD tasting proteins out there.

Keep in mind where you want to be 3 or 5 years out. I know where I want to be, that's why I follow a high protein low carb diet.

To each his own.
