Default Sweet Tea

Tried making this tonight and I'm quite happy with the results. I put two family size Luzianne teabags in a 12cup coffeemaker and brewed. Poured the tea in a 48oz pitcher, and filled with more water to the top and put in the fridge to cool. Added two single serving size packets of Splenda (which is to my taste) to a 20oz glass, some crushed ice, a little stir, and wah-lah! Six glasses today already.

And now I have my wife hooked on it. She never drank the regular sugared sweet tea because it was usually way too sweet. This "recipe" leaves a bit of the tea taste and the Splenda is not as heavy. 'Course she put some lemon in it, which is blasphemy.

Sounds good David. I love, love, love iced tea. And using lemon in it should be illegal, lol. Do you get a coffee aftertaste from using your coffeemaker?

I have a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker. It's a nifty little appliance that gets a good workout every summer.
