Once you find that Fage make sure you don't eat it plain. It will taste just like Sour Cream. But mixed with a little crystal light...mmmm...it's my morning breakfast almost every morning! I love the stuff!
meijer is almost worth the 2 hr drive, if gas wasnt so high.

There was a time when we'd make the road trip just to go to meijer...

not anymore, gas is too high.

Meijers is probably one of the things I miss most about moving to Georgia (from Ohio). Publix almost makes up for it - but not quite.

The recipe sounds amazing - but how many of those sugar free items have aspartame (nutrasweet)?

Giving up things like Real Icecream, Publix Fried Chicken, Wendy's single with cheese & everything, COKE, etc. is bad enough. But all the best recipes I've seen include products that have aspartame! God hates me.

I'm not sure if any of it has aspartame. Hang on...I'll run and check.

....ok, I'm back, did ya miss me? The crystal light and the sf carnation have it. If you do ok with sugar you could use a bit of OJ concentrate and then some vanilla protein powder instead of the carnation. I would think that would work too.

1 sm container 2% Fage yogurt (17 gms)
1 envelope sf vanilla carnation instant breakfast (5 gms)
1 "on-the-go" orange crystal light (or try sf Tang to taste)
1 c ff milk (8 gms)
2 tsp vanilla extract
Splenda to taste

Put all ingredients into a blender and add ice if desired, until desired thickness.

This recipe will give you 30 grams of delicious protein!!

Zen suggested maybe putting in orange slices into the blender. If you can tolerate the natural fruit sugars that may be really good!
sounds fab BUT, I don't have access to ANY of the above!!! ok, milk I can get & vanilla
I assume "fage" is like greek/turkish yoghurt?

sometimes at my local grocery store, if you request something they will try and get it in for you. maybe for people who don't have stores near them that carry fage they could ask at their local stores and see if they could get it in.

Thumbs up Fage is more concentrated?

I'm thinking that because it is strained and not so runny that it may give it more protein per...

It also so has pretty much the basics needed and that's it... skim milk, culture.... Yuumy! I love it.

Default Yogurt "cheese"

Years ago I used to put yogurt in a strainer with a few layers of cheesecloth and put it in the sink overnight. The next day you get the BEST creamcheese!
